Sometimes
Sometimes you reach the point when you know you don’t want to be friends anymore.
I’m at that point.

I copied and pasted this from a facebook event invite. This effort is for the Triangle area which includes Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Durham North Carolina.
Triangle Area Foodies — indulge in your favorite food with good conscience! This Sunday (or Monday), several area restaurants are donating 10% of their proceeds to the relief efforts in Haiti, either through the remarkable organization Partners in Health (http://photos.pih.org/home2.html) or the inspirational, locally-run Family Health Ministries (http://www.familyhm.org/). Eat out, enjoy, and contribute to a worthy cause!
Confirmed restaurants include:
Sunday, January 24: Watts Grocery, Bogarts American Grill, Crook’s Corner, HI5, Michael Dean’s Seafood Grill, Red Room Tapas Lounge, Twisted Fork, The Mash House, Saxapahaw General Store, Zely and Ritz
Monday, January 25: Lantern, Fosters, Globe Restaurant,Six Plates Wine Bar, Pop’s, Rue Cler, Toast , Rockwood Filling Station, Ruckus Pizza Pasta and Spirits, Tyler’s
More restaurants and details are coming — watch this space!
To help:
1) Eat out this Sunday and Monday!
2) Tell your friends to do the same! You can invite them to this event.
3) If you can’t dine out with us, then consider contributing to either of the organizations listed above.
*Many, many thanks to the restaurants for their generosity!*

Boyfriend Jeans and Heels?
I have this problem, and I want to share it with you guys. I’m obsessed with the boyfriend jeans and heels look. But it’s not just limited to boyfriend jeans – I like menswear shoes and jeans on so many different levels. Unfortunately, that only translates to highlighting and circling it in J.Crew catalogs and the 2.37 gazillion other magazines I read. My problem is in the execution step.
A couple of months ago, I bought a pair of destroyed vintage slim jeans from J.Crew. Now don’t let me fool you, my arrow tilts to curvy; I definitely don’t have the slim silhouette. Anyways, I finally mustered up the courage to try the look out. I’ve included the pic below.

Details: $5 glasses from UO, Scarf -Nordy’s, Gray Shirt – Ann Taylor, Blazer – The Limited, Jeans – J.Crew, Shoes – Saks Off Fifth, Bag – Rebecca Minkoff.
Looking at the photo, I would definitely prefer different shoes, but I don’t know what to sub in. My shoe collection is very flat boot heavy right now.
I’d like to take this moment to acknowledge my very skilled photographer whose finger I had to edit out of the photo. *I still love ya!* She is recently engaged and putting up with my complaining on a daily basis as I prepare for my big exam.
I am currently obsessed with all things 2BitchezDeep! Check out their blog. I’ve been lusting after the Cherry Spizike and Cone Studded gloves they have at PatriciaField.com for a while now. With these long fingers, I’d be pissed if they didn’t fit though.
