Impulse Moves.

When most people refer to making impulsive moves, they’re usually referring to very small projects.

“Oh I think I’ll bake a cake.”
“Forget it. I quit.”

I’ve decided that I love Ryan Leslie’s new album…and I’m not the gushing type.  I tire of things fairly quickly…actually I’m going to change that. I tire of things at rates comparable to the speed of light.  Yet, I find myself playing this album over and over and over again.  My Last.FM scrobbler is probably gonna have that name BURNED into the window!

Well, I cannot find reliable tour info about him.  The websites I visited show two dates in March at S.O.B.’s.  Hmm…  If that’s the only time you plan to perform Mr. Leslie, I will have to save up my measly stipend and hopefully a tax refund check.  This morning I decided that I am going to NY next week or two weeks… whenever it is. I must be there.  Now this isn’t such a big deal, but that also means I must completely characterize my mutant library before I go.

E. coli...

E. coli...

Oh science, you make a girl’s dreams so difficult.

From Here...

From Here...

....to here.

....to here.

End of Transmission.

Love Affair

Anyone who knows me, knows I have a serious problem with kitchen appliances.  I simply cannot get enough.  My latest love affair is with my electric kettle.

*Swoon*

*Swoon*

Being the tea aficionado that I am, this is right up my alley.  I just got this on Tuesday night, and I may have had 7-8 cups of tea since then.  It’s really that serious.  Oh Breville, how I love thee.

I cannot start my day without the following:

Nice Kitty is my color!

Nice Kitty is my color!

Love this stuff!!

Love this stuff!!

“Off the Hook”

CNN Political Ticker: – RNC chair plans ‘off the hook’ campaign, tells critics to ‘stuff it’

…and cue the blank stare.

I don’t even know that I need to add commentary to this.  Just wanted to share it with everyone.  I can’t wait to see how Republicans send their message while aplpying it to an “urban-suburban hip-hop setting.”

This has me cracking up!

Ryan Leslie

I have been following Ryan Leslie for a while now. I got the album a couple days ago – I don’t know how I let the release slip by me like that. I like to pre-order everything! I am truly loving it. Plus I like that some things have changed from the YouTube postings. I was surprised to hear the extra drums on I.R.I.N.A. at the end. Loves it!
Thank you Ryan Leslie for your musical genius which keeps me dancing around the lab, getting my experiments done.

Two thumbs up.

50 Million

I joined the 50 Million Pound Challenge. My team is Sweet Potato Pie Divas. Obviously, I can’t get in shape on my own, and since I don’t like letting people down – maybe I’ll do it for complete strangers. Considering I didn’t have a Valentine’s Day evening activity planned, after some retail therapy I forced myself to go to the gym and do one mile. That’s all I would torture myself with and then I could go home.

One Mile? Completed. Check the link to my Nike+… apparently it won’t work on wordpress. Wompwomp.

I also weighed myself at the gym. 178.  That’s fatty – 2!  I would like to believe this is because I’ve been drinking ~1/2 gallon of water a day along with this Yogi Tea Peach detox blend.  I love that stuff!  Dr. Ian’s meal plan?  Way too much for me.  How the heck am I supposed to eat 2 cups of cereal with milk + 1 cup of fruit + 1 boiled egg?  Plus I gotta have my water, coffee, and orange juice *morning ritual*.   All that food is just not happening.

I’m seriously thinking of getting back on the Warp Speed Fat Loss plan.  But I can’t fathom eating all that flax meal, cottage cheese, and protein powder.  I can’t afford any more of that expensive stuff.  Speaking of… I went to GNC today and purchased some chocolate whey powder (store brand).  Yuck!  Now usually I can mix my current vanilla powder (I can’t remember the brand) with water in my whisk blender cup and go on about my way – yum.  The chocolate stuff?  I was immediatley disgusted.  That will be going back to the store.

I’ll keep you all posted on my progress.
